I spend almost as much time with chickens as with humans

Ok so now I've been in Germany for almost 8 months! Crazy.  Time flies.

It's been a strange combination of being really busy and having lots of time on my hands.

I guess that's what comes when you're someone who can't sit still, but also isn't working a 9-5 M-F job.  No complaints here.

Music updates:

  • I released a cover song in December called Cocaine Jesus, as a slightly ridiculous Christmas present for a special friend.  This song is more upbeat than my usual style and was a LOT of fun to record myself and then edit with the amazing David Tallarico.  It's now my most played song!
  • I made a few new youtube videos, one for an old song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gO31ZLbhL8, and one for a new song:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGst3NuKpig.
  • My mini-spring-tour (still working on a good name for it) is slowly shaping up.  Ansbach, Kronach (@ a private party, won't be found online), and Mannheim are set in stone, with several other shows in the works!
  • I'm developing even more respect for my friends who have booked their own tours in the past HAHA things move slow.
  • I've been reworking old songs to include them in my upcoming shows.  Like, up to high-school level old.  So fun.
  • Oh and I'm playing during a wedding ceremony in June!  It'll be my 5th or something (always the BIGGEST honour)... but my first time singing in German, we'll see how that goes ;)

Life updates:

  • I'm still completely in love with Germany
  • I'm going back to schooooool in the fall to do the Master of Geochemistry and Geomaterials program at LMU in Munich! Yay!
  • I'm about to go to Vienna for the European Geological Union conference for a week, also yay!
  • I rode in a semi for the first time last week
  • I finished reading the first Harry Potter book in German
  • I'm coming home to Canada for the summer!  And very much looking forward to spending lots and lots of time outside with friends and family.

Sending lots of love and gratitude out to the universe, and you wherever you are reading this from!  Good things come in waves.  Sometimes we just have to wait a little while between the sets.
